This multi-room in-law suite addition includes a new bedroom, living room, bathroom, walk-in closet, and custom kitchenette created by converting an existing bedroom. Built with high-end finishes and seamlessly tied into the home’s green metal roof, it’s a perfect example of luxury, accessibility, and function in one build.
🛁 Bathroom: Curbless Shower with Luxury Finishes
To ensure comfort and accessibility, we recessed the shower floor framing to create a curbless walk-in shower and installed a custom mud bed. The shower walls were built with solid fiber cement backer board, sealed with a Hydro Ban® liquid waterproofing system for long-term durability.
Finishes included:
– White porcelain tile on floors and shower walls
– A bold blue ceramic tile accent wall
– Elegant gold fixtures, including:
– Sink faucet
– Showerhead
– Grab bars
– Drain
– Gold tile edge trim for a designer touch
🍽️ Kitchenette: Converted Bedroom with Custom Cabinetry
An existing bedroom was converted into a compact but stylish kitchenette that opens into the new addition. Cabinets were built by an independent cabinet maker and finished on-site by our team.
Kitchen upgrades included:
– A touch-activated sink faucet
– Full appliance setup (refrigerator, stove, dishwasher, etc.)
– Crown molding detail on the upper cabinets
– A glass tile backsplash in a herringbone pattern for a refined look
